Spiritual Practices
Faith on Pointe: Ballet as Spiritual Language and Practice
Utilizing the dancing body as an instrument of connection to the Divine, this webinar will introduce a framework for ballet as a spiritual practice and a theological language.
About the Webinar
We will begin with some scriptural and theological exposition, learn a brief phrase of movement, practice that movement as physio divina, then conclude with reflection and prayer.
About the Presenter

The Reverend Julie M. Hoplamazian is an Episcopal priest, serving as the Associate Rector at St. Michael’s Church in New York, NY. She is also the founder of Faith on Pointe, a ministry at the intersection of ballet and Christian theology. When she’s not at the altar or the barre, she can be found walking along the Hudson River with her aggressively loving hound Amos, or curled up on her couch and getting lost in a good story (on screen or on paper).
