About the Presenter
Kirsten Foyles is a Kodály certified music teacher and serves as Associate Director of Music and Director of Children and Youth Music at Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst where she directs a children’s choir (grades K-5) and a Youth Worship Team (grades 6-12). She holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin, a law degree from the University of Louisville, and a Masters Degree in Kodály Music Education through the American Kodály Institute at Loyola University Maryland. Foyles is also a practicing attorney in Southern Pines, North Carolina and together with her colleague,
Dr. Terri Sinclair, has presented a number of webinars and presentations on copyright law for churches as well as creative and intergenerational worship and music arts. Terri Sinclair is currently Instructor of Music at Sandhills Community College and Director of Music at Community Presbyterian Church. Prior to that, she had 21 years of experience in higher education; most recently, Associate Professor/Director of Choral Activities at Coastal Carolina University. She holds the DMA in Choral Conducting from UNC-Greensboro, the MM in Choral Conducting from Florida State University, and the BM in Piano Performance from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has led numerous workshops at professional conferences including the Association of Presbyterian Churches National Conference and has presented a webinar for the Presbyterian Association of Musicians.
