About the Webinar
Bible Story Basics, new from Abingdon Press for Fall 2019, is a comprehensive 3-year Bible study built to help children understand the overarching story of God’s Word. Underlying each aspect of the Bible Story Basics curriculum is the belief that every child should have the opportunity to experience the depths of God’s love for them expressed in the timeless stories of the Bible. Each story-focused session allows the narrative to drive children’s faith formation and provides a rich context for the development of biblical literacy skills’ In this webinar, we will explore the various components of a Bible Story Basics session and how they can be adapted to meet your learning objectives and educational context.
About the Presenter
Daphna Flegal is newly retired as the Lead Editor of Children’s Resources at The United Methodist Publishing House. She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Scarritt College and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Peiffer University. Daphna was a writer for the Deep Blue Bible Storybook. She also wrote and edited Deep Blue Preschool, Years 1-4. She is presently working on a new resource, Bible Story Basics and traveling with the VBS team for leadership training workshops. Daphna is a lifelong United Methodist and is a member of Connell UMC.
