About the Webinar

Need help organizing church records? Afraid your records might be lost to disaster? You are not alone. Sometimes it’s hard to know what to keep (and for how long) and what can be thrown away. Caring for your church’s historical records can be challenging in the face of time limitations, lack of space, multiple responsibilities, and the possibility of disasters such as 2012’s Superstorm Sandy. This webinar will help you learn how to organize and protect your records and is intended to support and assist office managers, administrative assistants, trustees, local church historians, and pastors in the ministry of the church. Participants will be introduced to basic archival and records management concepts and tips will be provided for protecting records from floods and other disasters.

About the Presenter

Leslie Reyman has been in the church all her life, attending worship for the first time when she was five days old. Her love for God and the ministry of the church began in high school, but it was during graduate school many years later, that she focused on helping local churches with their historical documents and records management. With nearly twenty years of experience, Leslie will help make what seems to be overwhelming, to be approachable by even the most timid and fearful. This webinar was originally broadcast on October 6, 2015.
