Why should you join?

PRC – Practical Resources for Churches – is an ecumenical resource center with connections across many denominations. Individuals, ministry teams, churches, and judicatories can join by paying an annual fee. With a church or judicatory membership, anyone from your church can work directly with our expert consultants.

Joining PRC helps congregations save on staffing costs because our professional consultants can act as adjunct staff for your church. Members get access to hundreds of PRC resources, professional training, and can attend workshops and events for free or at reduced rates!

I just renewed our membership for our Children’s Ministry. Our Director, who started with us last year, highly values her participation in a cohort and enjoys the various webinars and other idea generators that come her way. The prayground area in front of the pulpit now is a testament to the adventure we’re on. Our members, for the most part, are on-board and weathering their growth experiences. What a meaningful intergenerational Advent workshop Karen Smith planned and led for us recently at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson. The children made an adorable nativity snack and then both the adults and the children created beautiful Advent prayer beads to help prepare our hearts and minds for our savior’s birth. It was a special morning filled with fun and fellowship, and a lovely way to begin the Advent season. We are so grateful for all of the assistance that Karen continues to provide to our Christian Education program, season after season.
